Glucophage (Generic)

Glucophage (Generic)

Glucophage (Metformin) helps reduce excessively high blood glucose (sugar) levels in type 2 diabetes patients by decreasing glucose production in the liver, decreasing glucose absorption from the intestine, and improving insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization. It does not cause low blood sugars except in special, rare circumstances.
